Top Ten for the week of 10/5/2009

I made some major changes to our system over the past week to improve our SEO, one of which was creating public profiles of every executive that we track for the pulse newsletter (Currently around 30,000). My goal is to cover at least 100,000 executives, 10,000 companies and 200+ vc firms by year end. We already cover more in each category within the TechnamesDB on-line database, but they are not yet added to the Executive Pulse crawler system. When the system is complete, we will be capturing over 1,000 executive moves per week, as well as company closures, mergers and acquisitions and new startups. I am very excited about the future of the Executive Pulse and I hope that our readers are too.

This week, I am highlighting Art Wong, the new CEO at Right90. Art previously held several executive level positions at Symantec, the company he joined when Symantec acquired SecurityFocus (where he was Co-Founder and CEO). Art has experience building successful companies and leading them to acquisition. I wonder if this is why Right90 brought him on board? Only time will tell.
